Glassy Hoops

Hoops of hand shaped glass, sparkling under the lobe. Annika works with a local glass blower in Brooklyn to make these earrings. The material is borosilicate glass, which laboratories and restaurants use because it is much sturdier than standard, everyday glass due to the boron trioxide content that makes it less volatile.
